SEEKING NATIONAL, REGIONAL, AND STATE PREMIERES!

Submissions are being accepted for PRODUCTION and SCRIPT DEVELOPMENT (staged readings and workshops). All playwrights are encouraged to submit full length scripts, selecting the best program for their script. Please, consider submitting into the development program if you play does NOT have a development history. It is rare that we will produce a new play that does not have some form of professional/academic, be it formal or informal, development.

Note: Workshops are open to Ohio playwrights, native or resident.
Production and Staged Reading are open to ALL playwrights.

The Players Guild Theatre is excited to connect with Northern Michigan University, and Director of Theatre, Ansley Valentine, MFA, to produce the regional premiere of THE NEAR EAST. For audiences, this play impresses its themes and story onto the mind and heart with both challenge and grace.

This play has received viewing at The Eugene O'Neil Theatre through The O'Neill Playwrights Conference and was produced at Mixed Blood Theatre in MN.
